Visual media was my childhood dream. News media became my bread and butter. Working for nearly two decades in news media I have come to understand how critical is the role of a journalist or a news reporter in shaping the society, in bringing accurate news reports to people, and in general, to create awareness and generate nation-building opinions.
Alma Media School is our effort to create the training programs for young and aspiring media professionals who want to become responsible, pro-society journalists and help build a healthy, democratic society. When a media person reports it should be well-researched and factual. It should also be supported by an in-depth understanding of his or her society. Only then the media person can have a healthy dialogue with his or her audience. For such knowledgeable and unprejudiced mind, a journalist needs adequate training. Alma Media School
aims to provide such training.
